Driving north from Fremantle, it was well worth diverting from my usual coastal route to the Swan River today for this magnificent view.

Beautiful Country

Even before we had the vineyard at Nannup, when we went down south for holidays, I loved visiting this area in the South West. It is quite simply beautiful country. 

It Will Soon be Time to Prune.

Whilst the hill here looks to have a gentle slope walking up and down it a few times is certainly testing on the knees and  legs. 

With the leaves turning and falling from the vines, it will soon be time to get back into the vineyard and start the rows and rows of pruning. As a small family run vineyard the only way is to prune the six thousand vines is by hand. It's quite a job!
